Wild Kind Screening

Thursday – Sunday,

Festival Tent, Father Burke Park,

Free, no registration required.

Wildkind is a ten minute animated film by Fermanagh creator Ciara Tinney, based on her illustrated book written for her daughters to help nurture a life that is wild and kind which will be filmed continuously over the festival.

A temporary gathering of stardust — a Starling — travels land and sea on a sensory journey of hope and healing across our shared watercolour Motherland. Guided by the warm, familiar tones of Mother Earth, voiced by three generations of women, the film moves from Daughter to Mother to Grandmother, migrating through the ever-turning seasons of life.

Narrated in English, Irish and Arabic, Wildkind is a poem painted to awaken the senses — a soundscape interwoven with wild field recordings, birdsong and lapping tides. This beautiful film will be shown at various times througout the festival in the festival tent.

Admission is free. For more information visit: www.wildkind.ie
